Useful Resources for Ultimate Frisbee!

Apologies for the late post! I was engrossed on a book that is closely related to Ultimate Frisbee - Ultimate Techniques and Tactics!

Apart from books such as this that provide tips on Ultimate Frisbee, there are many resources out there that provides insights and advice on Ultimate Frisbee. These resources forms a good foundation in which you can adopt or improvise to improve your game!
1) Brodie Smith
Recommended for: Beginners
Brodie Smith is a pretty prolific frisbee player on Youtube, known more for his frisbee trick shots that he shot almost everywhere in the world. His initial videos offers tips and advice on the basics of Ultimate Frisbee such as throwing, catching and defending.

2) Ultimate Rob (www.ultimaterob.com)
Recommended for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced
Rob Mcleod is a Canadian Ultimate Frisbee players that played for Worlds in 2001 and 2002. He also holds many records on Ultimate Frisbee. His website is a myriad of knowledge that covers on various playing levels of Ultimate Frisbee, from how to throw a forehand to discussing on the the certain edges that one should release his or her throws.
Other than the physical aspects of the game, Ultimate Rob also offers insights on psychological issues such as staying composed during the game, or how to handle rejection from being cut from the team, and much much more!

3) Understanding Ultimate (http://understandingultimate.wordpress.com)
Recommended for: Intermediate, Advanced
Started in 2012, Understanding Ultimate is written by Benji Heywood, Director of Ultimate at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. The articles he writes usually takes you into more advanced issues such as how to efficiently block out defenders or the ideal amount to turn when throwing.
4) Ultiworld (http://ultiworld.com)
Recommended for: Intermediate, Advanced
Ultiworld provides news on the Ultimate Frisbee scene in America if you are interested. On the other hand, it breaks down and analyse some of the tactics that top teams use during their game. A very good website if you want to adopt the tactics of top teams into your team's playing style. It also has a YouTube channel as well!
5) Skyd Magazine (www.skydmagazine.com)
Recommended for: Intermediate
Skyd (pronounced sky-ed) is also another website that focuses on the US Ultimate scene. It also has a training blog that offers insights on what type of training would be effective in Ultimate Frisbee. (like ultiworld, it has its own YouTube Channel as well!
5) The Huddle (www.the-huddle.org)
Recommended: Intermediate
The Huddle is a collection of feedback by experienced players on various topics of Ultimate Frisbee. Although it is currently on hiatus as of 2007, there are many insightful articles where players offer their own perspective on areas such as training field vision, and footwork during a game.
6) Rise Up Ultimate
Recommended: Beginner - Intermmediate
Rise Up Ultimate is a very good website as it offers videos on the many aspects of Ultimate Frisbee. Most of their videos have to be purchased, however it could be a very worthwhile purchase, considering how much depth their videos are. Here is a preview of Rise Up Ultimate!
7) NexGen Ultimate
NexGen is a Ultimate broadcasting website that usually take videos of Ultimate Frisbee tournaments such as the US Nationals and Worlds 2012, from college level to professional level. Unfortunately, it is pulling the plug on broadcasting Ultimate videos at the end 2014.. (Sobbb..... :( )
However, there are videos still available. What is good about this video is that it offers a good view that allows you to familiarise yourselves with the playing style of the team. In addition, there are commentaries and replays to help you better understand what is going on!
