Under Armour Singapore Ultimate Opens!

It has now come to the tournament that all Ultimate Frisbee players in Singapore has been waiting for! the tournament that puts the finishing touch to the Ultimate Frisbee season in Singapore, The Under Armour Singapore Ultimate Opens (SUO), has finally begun! This is also the first SUO to be sponsored by a big US sporting brand, Under Armour!

Taking place at Farrer Park Fields, players from all walks of life (student, lawyer etc) and countries (Philippines, Taiwan, etc) have gathered to play out one good final round (or rounds) of Ultimate Frisbee! I was there to check the event out and boy, the first day has loads of highlights, as teams from various pools fight it out to ensure a favourable seeding for the knockout stages happening this Sunday! If you don't know where the fields are to catch all these Ultimate Frisbee action, here are the directions on how to head over there!

1) Take the MRT over to Little India Station

2) Take exit E, which would mention Farrer Park Fields

3) After that, turn towards Race Course Road/Kerbau Road,

4) Orientate yourself until you see this:

5) Notice a pathway at the centre of the picture, walk along there, and head over to the scaffolding until you see a pathway to the most exciting Ultimate Frisbee tournament!

PS: As I have mentioned before, Monday and Wednesday pickups happen at the very same location so people who are interested for pickups do take note!

This Sunday would be the knockout stages! you'll be sure to see really high levels of play amongst the teams participating!
