National Day Post
Hello and Happy Birthday Singapore!
Today the 9th August is our National Day, or Singapore's birthday! This was the date when Singapore first gotten her independence in 1965. and what better birthday present to give Singapore would be the stellar performances of our Singaporean Teams in The Worlds Ultimate Club Championship in Lecco, Italy!
After a week of gruelling games pitting against top teams from various countries such as USA, Japan, Sweden etc, Here are the final updates! (From Ultimate Players Association Singapore)
Shiok! Singapore

Despite playing against top teams such as Polar Bears, a renowned US mixed team, they managed to get a final placing to be the top 10 clubs in the world! It was from an inital placing of 13th!
Crackerjacks Ultimate (In Red)

The all-guys team that had their worlds debut here in Lecco! They had a pretty strong pool that featured Buzz Bullets, an all-Japanese team that is really good, placing overall third in the previous Worlds games in 2012. However, with raw grit and tenacity, they managed to secure 36th place, a increase of 10 places from their initial seed of 46th.
Sin City Ultimate (In Red)

As for Sin City, the all-women team! They fought really hard and had the chance to play against Seattle Riot, who are now world champions! In the end, they managed to get an overall place of 28th, a spirited improvement from their initial placing of 29th!
Congratulations to all the Singaporean teams that played that hearts out in Lecco, Italy! With such exposure, I'm sure that they would do really well in the next few competitions to come, be it local or regional!
